If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories,I know, it has taken me forever to get this recipe up! I don’t know why, I make it every single week and eat it constantly, I just never got around to taking pictures and things that go along with a blog post I suppose!
If you don’t see my Instagram story regularly, this chicken in da bomb! I usually eat it in a giant salad of greens & guac but it’s also great to have for a sprouted bread sandwich, quesadilla and even eating plain! I generally make a batch of it on Sunday night or Monday morning and then eat it during the week until it’s gone! If you can’t already tell, it’s one of my favorites.
As with anything, you can adjust any of the seasonings to your own taste! I honestly don’t usually measure much soo day to day it turns out slightly differently flavored for me!
This recipe can be made in the pressure cooker or the crock pot! I just happen to have an Instant Pot so that’s what I call all of them haha! It’s really simple and really versatile so most definitely give it a try and let me know what you think below!
What You’ll Need:
1.5 lbs Chicken breasts or tenderloins
3/4 – 1 Cup (6-8 oz)Chicken Broth or Stock
2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 Tbsp Chile Powder
1 tsp Pepper
Hot Sauce
What To Do:
Alright so this is really simple, I’m not going to crazy over complicate it! The one thing I will say is to give this recipe a few hours to ‘soak’ with the lid cracked after it’s done cooking! It really, I mean really, makes it have such an amazing flavor. It allows some of the liquid to evaporate and makes the seasoning turn into more of an ultra flavorful sauce.
Add all ingredients to instant pot.
Select poultry setting. If you have chicken breasts, cook time is going to be 6-8 minutes. If you have the tenderloins it’s going to be shorter at about 5 minutes because they’re so small and cook quicker! These times are for chicken that is already thawed!
You can manually release the pressure or let it go on its own.
Take 2 forks and shred it up then add hot sauce to your own taste! I usually just pour a little bit in and mix it around.
Let it sit for about 2 hours with the lid cracked and there you have it! Ahhmazing hot chicken perfect for pretty much everything in life :D.
I hope you enjoy this recipe! You’ll have to let me know if you give it a try!
Sweat, Smile, Repeat! And Eat 🙂
