Creating Workout Consistency

 

Creating consistency with healthy habits can be hard! It can seem like we have a few great days then fall off for a week leaving us with not progress and lots of frustration. It doesn’t have to be that way!

One of the best things we can do is give ourselves time and allow ourselves to build up healthy habits rather than expecting an overnight change. That’s honestly just not realistic! It took me a long time of gradual improvement to get my eating and workout habits to where they are today but that’s what makes them so solid now! I put in the effort to build them up in a way that was gradual and sustainable for me. This creates a long lasting healthy lifestyle rather than a cycle of restriction and binges!

Here are a few tips to help create sustainable healthy habits for your workouts! They also apply to other healthy habits too! Hope you find something helpful!

And remember, no matter how many times you fall, there is ALWAYS the option to get up and try again! You got this!

  1.  Start with things you enjoy.
  2. Write a simple ACTION BASED goal.
  3. Schedule time for your workouts.
  4. Commit to yourself and/or a friend.
  5. Don’t try to make all the changes overnight.
  6. Remember, lasting progress takes time!
