Hello everyone and welcome to a post about a subject that is super important for turning your fitness journey into a lifestyle!
In order to create a healthy lifestyle- not a 21 day challenge or a quick 7 day cleanse- it’s important to know how to get back on track. Life is full of holidays, long weekends, birthday parties, random days when donuts get brought to work and we just can’t resist. Of course, I encourage everyone to fit in their workouts and eat well the majority of the time, but it’s life and sometimes we get off track. I’m letting you know right now, that’s ok! You’re in this for the long haul so of course there will be times of super awesome on track-ness and then some times when you’re just ready to eat all the Christmas cookies.
The problem comes when we let off track days turn in to weeks of skipping workouts and eating way too much sugary processed food. When that becomes your norm rather than the exception!
So, rather than having a few days turn into a few weeks, here’s some tips to make sure that you get back on track and moving in the direction of your goals!
Each point is talked about a lot more in the video below along with how I apply them in my life, so give it a watch! 🙂
?Commit – If you’re thinking ‘maybe I’ll do this’ it’s probably not going to stick.
?Get rid of the junk – Don’t leave it all up to your willpower to resists those treats! Keep them out of the house!
?Have healthy food ready – The easier it is to make the healthy choice, the more likely you are to make it! If you need a plan see The Get Fit Food Guide 🙂
?Have a fitness plan – It takes away the time planning, the guessing what might work! Know what you’re doing so you can get up and knock it out! Check out The Get Fit Guide if you don’t wanna make your own!
?Don’t wait to ‘feel’ like it – Sometimes we just don’t feel like doing anything but if we wait until we feel like it, it might never happen!
