You guys are going to love these sweet roasted almonds! They’re easy to make, delicious and best of all they’re a healthy way to satisfy your sweet tooth! You can eat them guilt free knowing that the main ingredient, almonds, are amazing for you (click to read about all the awesome benefits)!
What you need:
2 cups raw almonds
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp cinnamon
Parchment paper( don’t need this.. it just makes cleaning up easier!)
What you do:
– Heat honey until it’s liquidy- you can do this on the stove top or in the microwave, either way make sure that the pan/bowl is big enough to fit all of your almonds in after the honey is heated.
-Take the honey off the stove or out of the microwave and mix in the cinnamon then pour the almonds into the mix. Stir them around until all of the almonds are covered well.
– Spread the almonds out on the parchment paper covered pan. They’re going to be super sticky right now so just do the best you can as far as spreading them apart!
-Next you’re going to roast the almonds for 10-15 minutes(depending on your oven, so check that they aren’t burning). This is the awesome part! While the almonds roast the honey is going to caramelize and harden up so they stop being so impossibly sticky to touch! It’s important to put the honey mix on before roasting. I made the mistake of roasting them before adding the honey the first time I made them and had to scrub sticky honey off my hands every time I ate a few.
-After they’re roasted let them cool and you’re done! You just made amazing honey cinnamon roasted almonds!
